In 1994 a group of businessmen from the hotel and tourism industry started an innovative project: the creation of an educational and vocational training institution called Escuela de Hostelería y Turismo de Valencia. These entrepreneurs considered that in order to improve competitiveness within their companies they had to focus on training and capacity-building for employees. From its foundation, thousands of students from all over the world have studied Cooking and Gastronomy in our center, located in the heart of downtown Valencia, inside a designated Artistic Heritage Building.
The key to success is the internship placement program in the best hotels and restaurants. In a spirit of continuous improvement, our center, today known as Centro Superior de Hostelería del Mediterráneo aims for worldwide recognition for providing specialized training on Mediterranean Cooking and Gastronomy. Mediterranean diet has been considered Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Nowadays, Centro Superior de Hostelería del Mediterráneo is a symbol of the development of Spanish and Mediterranean Cuisine and one of the best centres to study Cooking and Gastronomy.
